Book reviewers get links to their websites. It's a different way of writing an article for inbound links. Except we expect the book review will get a higher page rank than an article and therefore will boost the page rank of the author's website.

This review site does not charge authors to review books. However, books which do not meet standards will not be recommended by omission. In other words, the review will be unbiased, not always kind. If the book gets a favorable review, it will be listed with links to the author's website or Amazon. Authors whose books need work will get a personal review, which will not be posted online.
